MAITE IZQUIERDO is a Chilean recognized textile artist.
Chasca. Means disheveled hair in the Quechua language; it is the reflex of Venus’ planet over the water, which multiplies its light beams in the dark. These works are textile expressions, entangled like nests of diverse color and materiality. They hypnotize, they call to rest in them in the middle of so much change and search for truth. Simple and precise gestures that demarcate an interior search.
